About 5 minutes after I bought the book “Hillbilly Elegy”, I saw this quote on a sign and I haven’t stopped thinking about it.

I’ll start by saying that when I was a kid, I quit t-ball because it was too windy, and I quit violin lessons because it ‘hurt my chin.’ Wouldn’t you know, though, that now as an adult, I love seeing things start from actual seeds, watching them grow into whatever product they become, and then designing the packaging—ultimately ending up with a product in my hand. I took @growitfromhome’s class at @figearthsupply and grew these plants and turned them into a balm for Christmas presents. It was a 6 month life-giving project. 💫
