Hello! Thank you for visiting! I have worked as a designer, art director, and creative director for the past 16 years. Recently, I was the art director at Califia Farms, a plant-based beverage company, for nearly four years. My responsibilities included improving their e-commerce experience, leading a brand redesign, creating marketing campaigns, and designing experiential and out-of-home experiences.
As you might be able to tell, I’m very inspired by vintage ephemera. I love the attention to detail that artists gave to their work and strive to implement that intentionality into my work. I love to dive into design archives and study the work from all around the world. Graphic design is an incredible storytelling tool.
Although the design world is one thing that makes me tick, my other equally big passions are people and the environment. Activism is a big part of my life, particularly for immigration and refugee rights and environmental protections. My values in life are to be connected to nature, to love and have genuine connections with people, to create art that inspires and moves people towards action or thought, and to be curious and enjoy this beautiful earth.
As a naturally curious person who loves having hobbies and making things with my hands, I recently attended Annie Atkins’ (designer for Wes Anderson and Steven Spielberg) graphic prop design workshop in Dublin, Ireland. I can say that my designer heart sang for weeks during and after that workshop. I love to make graphic props as a form of storytelling.
Other fun things to note:
I’m married to a powerhouse musician that inspires me daily. We have a dog named Snacks and a cat named Norma. They’re all the dream.
I once won 15,000 honeybees in a raffle.
I’m currently on a sustainable garden journey using permaculture methods. See here!
