Exploring Purpose: A Field Guide

Sometimes you get a note in your inbox asking if you want to make a field guide and you feel so lucky to work on a project that sets your heart on fire. This project was it for me.

The design agency, Journey Group, brought me on to art direct and design “props” for the Fall 2023 issue of Independent School magazine. My part of this field guide became more about “building” than just design. A lot of thought was put into how these pieces could look the most authentic and this meant a lot of paper layering, crinkling of the edges, hole punches, embroidered patches, natural ink marks, and more.
